Press Release Writing & Distribution Service
from $850.00

A trained media professional will write your press release in a way that is catchy, compelling and includes the details a writer, editor, or producer needs to know.

THE PROCESS:

  1. Interview:
Your writer interviews you via FaceTime/GoogleMeet/GoToWebinar/Phone during one interview session to get to know your business and what it is we are announcing.

  2. Draft Press Release:
A draft will be written and sent to you for feedback and 1 round of changes if needed. We may create or seek a quote from you to give depth to the Press Release, which helps writers hear directly from the business.

  3. Graphic Design:
If you select the package where a postcard/flyer is designed for you, this image will be sent to you as well for approval or 1 round of edits.

  4. Press Release Delivered:
The Press Release is ready. It will be delivered to you via email already styled and formatted (bolding, italics, etc.). We do not recommend sending this as a PDF or Word Document. The media works fast in their email inboxes, so they need it as text.

  5. Go Time!
Depending on the package you pick, you will send the Press Release to your people, or Tin Shingle will send it to a list we have researched. We recommend you definitely send the Press Release to your people no matter what. One of our services below includes researching for names in the media of your industry, and sending the Press Release on your behalf.

PRESS RELEASE PACKAGES

Tin Shingle offers several levels of service for this Press Release Writing Service, depending on what you need.

PACKAGE 1:
Press Release ($850)

Tin Shingle writes the Press Release based on the Process above, and sends it to you formatted. This package does not include distribution or a researched media contact list.

RECOMMENDED: If you are sending the Press Release to the media, you’ll need to research who to send it to. Tin Shingle has a searchable Media Contact Idea Center that you can use to research people in order to make your own list. Membership with Tin Shingle is required, and can be activated here. Tin Shingle Members do receive 25% off any Press Release Package.

PACKAGE 2:
Press Release + Postcard/Flyer ($1,650)

The media responds well to a nice flyer or postcard sent with your Press Release. They like to see what you are talking about. Tin Shingle can design a graphic to go along with your Press Release to make it more engaging.

To design this, our sister agency, Katie James, Inc. will produce the design for you.

PACKAGE 3:
Press Release + Flyer + Distribution via Media Contact Research ($1,950)

Tin Shingle can distribute your Press Release to 5 Media Contacts we have researched for you, and send it to those contacts on your behalf. We always personalize our emails, so these are emailed individually.

This does not include using a distribution wire service. If you want to send out the press release via a wire service, you can do that with your staff.

SETTING YOUR EXPECTATIONS

Sending a Press Release is the first step in your media outreach. It’s your signal flare. You will want to send out many more “media pitches” to writers, editors and producers after this step. Sending media pitches means you are thinking of different story ideas to the media. Yes - you can think of story ideas too! That’s what Tin Shingle is all about - helping businesses think of story ideas to pitch to the media in order to get media coverage.

If you want to write your own “media pitches” moving forward, Tin Shingle has a Pitch Whisperer service that writes different pitches for you. Simply joining Tin Shingle and participating in our Community as a member will also train and support you when you or your staff are writing your own pitches.

DISCLAIMER

Tin Shingle cannot guarantee press placement with any publication. When a Press Release goes out, this usually serves as an FYI to the prospective writer, editor or producer. Many followups are needed after it is sent to help that writer, editor or producer get to know your brand. The Press Release is often the first step. Many times, you will not get a response to a Press Release. It is your responsibility (or your PR firm’s) to engage with your intended media contact by sending them polite followup emails or story ideas for possible articles.
