Before becoming a jewelry designer, I was a caterer, a floral designer and finally a horticultural therapist when the days/nights/holidays/weekends schedule of a floral designer became too much. I was looking for new ways to present flowers and plants to my elderly clients when I heard about beaded flowers. I never learned how to make those, but instead became enthralled by beadweaving. I proceeded to take every class I could in New York City, then began to travel to take more classes in order to work with acknowledged top-of-the line bead artists. I have since been judged into top competitions and shows as well as being published in beadwork books. My work is BIG. I make mostly statement pieces and all of my work is limited edition. All pieces are either needle-woven or crocheted with the most unusual freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, vintage beads, Austrian crystals, and gold seed beads. It is unlike any other work shown today in fine art craft galleries.
